Zoloft Drug Interactions

 

 Some drugs can interact negatively with Zoloft causing serious problems and in some cases, death. Do not take MAO inhibitors while using Zoloft or within two weeks before starting Zoloft. Do not take Zoloft with weight loss drugs. Make sure to inform your doctor and pharmacist of all prescription and over the counter drugs you are currently using, including other SSRI antidepressants. Tell your doctor about any herbal products you are using, especially melatonin, St. John's wart, and ayahuasca.

 

You should also let your doctor know if you take sedatives or anti-anxiety medications, as well as any pain relievers, psychiatric drugs, anti-seizure medicine, muscle relaxers, or antihistamines. Missed Dose of Zoloft

 

When a dose of Zoloft is missed, take it as soon as possible. If you don't notice the missed dose until time for your next dose, just skip the dose your missed and resume your normal dosage. Never take two doses of Zoloft at once to compensate for a missed dose.
