Uses of Vaniqa
Viniqa is used to slow and eventually stop the growth of facial hair on women. Vaniqa is not a hair remover, but works under the surface to stop hair growth.
Vaniqa Directions
Your doctor should provide instructions for using Vaniqa. This medication also comes with an information leaflet with instructions for use. You should wait at least five minutes after shaving, plucking, waxing, or removing facial hair before applying Vaniqa. Make sure you rub the cream in and do not wash the area for at least four hours after application. Do not apply Vaniqa more than every 8 hours. Wait for the Vaniqa cream to dry before applying cosmetics to the area. Keep Vaniqa in a cool, dry place at room temperature. Never freeze Vaniqa. If you miss a dose of Vaniqa, resume your regular dosage schedule and skip the missed dose. It is not necessary to apply two doses at once.
Vaniqa Side Effects
Side effects can occur with Vaniqa, but most are mild and temporary. Some might include redness, tingling, burning, or stinging upon application. Sometimes a rash or milk folliculitis might occur. Talk to your doctor if you have bleeding or swelling.
Vaniqa Precautions
Viniqa is not a hair remover and does not work to immediately eliminate facial hair. You should continue your usual hair removal routine while using Vaniqa. It may take a month or more before you see the outward slowing of hair growth while using Vaniqa. Do not use Vaniqa if you are under 12 years old, or if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Vaniqa could possibly be excreted in breast milk so talk to your doctor if you are nursing.
Drug Interactions with Vaniqa
Tell your doctor about all medications you are taking before starting Vaniqa. If you miss a dose of Vaniqa, don't apply two doses at once. Skip the missed dose and resume your normal dosage schedule.
Vaniqa Notes
Vaniqa should not be shared with others. Do not use Vaniqa unless your doctor prescribes it for you.
