Trazodone Directions
Follow your doctor's instructions when taking Trazadone. Take this medication with a full eight ounce glass of water. You should also take Trazadone with a snack or a meal to increase the absorption of the medication and to lower the incidence of dizziness. Do not discontinue this medication without consulting a doctor, even if you feel well. Some patients will not see improvement until several weeks into Trazodone treatment.
Trazodone Precautions
Trazadone can cause fatigue and lightheadedness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how you will react to Trazodone. Dizziness usually occurs when patients sit up after lying down. Sit up slowly to prevent dizziness or falling. Do not consume alcohol while taking Trazodone as it will increase dizziness and drowsiness.
