Condylox

Condylox is a topical gel or solution available by prescription only. This is one of the few home treatments approved by the FDA for curing genital warts. It not only erases the warts but also destroys the virus which causes them. Typically it is not necessary to treat the wart for longer than six weeks.

Uses of Condylox
Condylox Gel 0.5% or Solution 0.5% is for use as a topical treatment of external genital warts or perianal warts.
Condylox Directions
Always use Condylox as prescribed by the physician. This medication is usually applied twice daily for three days. Patients then do not apply the medication for four days, and then repeat the cycle weekly for one month.
Condylox Side Effects
The most common side effects of Condylox are generally mild, and include burning, pain, itching, bleeding or inflammation. Talk to your doctor if this becomes bothersome.
Condylox Precautions
Women who are pregnant or nursing should talk to a doctor before using Condylox. If you have genital warts within the mucous membranes such as the vagina, rectum or urethra, you should talk to a doctor. If you are allergic to Podofilox, do not take Condylox.
Missed Dose of Condylox
When you miss a dose of Condylox, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for the next dose, skip the dose you missed. Do not take a double dosage of Condylox for any reason.
